Exercise, Health & Sports Forum POSTING GUIDELINES, Please Read UDPATE 4/17/08 This forum has degraded in quality somewhat and we are setting up some measures to get things on track. To an extent this is understandable. You wouldn't expect a seduction sub-forum on an exercise forum to be very good. Still, we are going to try to make this work and are setting up some rules.
If you are going to recommend a training program or diet, please include:
1. How long you did it
2. The credentials of the program designer
3. The specific results you achieved. The two big ones are changes in lean body mass (muscle gained) and fat loss. If you are going to recommend a program you designed, share your real name so your credentials can be checked out. I personally don't seen why you would want to do this, given the number of perfectly good programs out there already. Why do I have to do all that? Other bodybuilding sites don't make me do that.
Because those other places have bona fide experts who post under their real names who will set things straight, and the general level of knowledge tends to be higher than what you'll see here. That's to be expected, given this is a subforum of a pickup board. Otherwise we'll have guys arguing about spot-reduction or how less than 10 meals a day puts you in "starvation mode." Bad Topics
1. No "How do I gain/lose weight" threads. There are stickies addressing those topics. If you are following a diet/exercise regimen and hitting a sticking point, start a thread on that topic. Including your exercise regimen and what you're eating will be helpful, since it will be the first question someone intelligently advising you will ask.
2. Please do not recommend diet or exercise routines you haven't tried, and if you have include the results you experienced. There are thousands, and most of them are crap. Limiting advice to your personal experience will help keep this on track.
3. Illegal substances/chemicals/stimulants. These are unnecessary, and we don't permit recommending users break laws.
4. No "Which Martial Art is the Best Threads," or "What Martial Art Should I Do," please. Martial arts have been widely discussed here already. Good Topics
1. There are no bona fide fitness experts on this forum. By "Bona Fide," I mean an expert who is posting under his real name. For that reason, referring posters to outside resources/websites/forums is welcome (advertising is not). If you see a question where the answer has been intelligently discussed elsewhere, please post a link.
2. "Field Reports." If you are finding that a change you've made to your lifestyle in regards to health and fitness is impacting your game, we would love to hear about it.
3. Reviews of diet/exercise regimens. If you have tried something and had positive results, we would like to hear about them. Please include details.
This is the extent of the current guidelines, I'll be updating them as we move forward. |
