Number close in elevator Ok so I was walking home sunday afternoon and I get to my apartment and there is this girl at the front door with her hood up. My apartment has locks on all the outside doors and only residents have the keys to get in. You go through a locked door to the lobby, then a locked door to the parking garage, then a locked door to the elevator. She is obviously waiting to get in. I come up, open the door and hold it for her, and she just stands there.
SS: Do you want to come in or do you want to hang out out here? (It was pouring rain)
HB: Oh thank you I guess I'll come in.
She walks to the next door, which is locked too, but I don't tell her this. She tries to open it and can't.
SS: [laughing at her] Yeah that door's locked too. Are you visiting someone? [figuring out if she has a bf here]
HB: Yeah, I'm visiting my dad, he just moved in a month ago.
SS: How does he like it?
HB: Blah blah, how long have you lived here.
SS: About 4 or 5 months. It's a pretty nice place.
HB: Do you go out much? [I live near a lot of cool bars]
SS: Yeah. I had a lot of people over on Friday and I think I pissed off my neighbors. I guess they don't like it when you make a bunch of loud noise at 4am.
HB: [giggles]
SS: Well this is my floor. what was your name?
HB: HB
SS: My name's ***. You should stop by sometime.
HB: For sure. What's your number?
SS: 111-111-1111. Seeya later
This is where I made the same mistake for the second time in a month. I gave her my number but didn't get hers. Didn't even realize it until after the fact. We'll see if she calls. |
