Salvador Carnaval, and does any one know how to get the 'T SHIRTS'

I am going to brazil in January, and plan to make it to Salvador for the carnival. Is any one else going?

Plus I am told that to get on a float you need to buy a ticket that shows you've paid. Does any one know how to get one?

Please read this link for details on Carnival in Bahia. You can buy the shirts at a small auction behind a big mall in central Salvador. Any visitor can tell you where it is. They are all auctioned and prices change daily.
