Thinking About Living in T.O.

I might have a job lined up in the toronto area. Its not the greatest I will only be making between 40-50K a year to start. Is that enough to live comfortably in that city? I dont care if my appartment isnt the greatest, but I deffinately dont want to be living paycheck to paycheck. I can see me doing crazy amounts of approaches in that city, but I am not going to go for something just based on pickup.

What would you guys who live there say the average bachelors cost of living be?

Half decent apartment - $800 a month if you don't mind cramped (less if you don't mind roommates)
If you drive you're looking at another few hundred a month for parking.
Food costs are pretty standardized throughout Ontario, but downtown TO you have the advantage of all kinds of little produce markets that have great deals on fruit/vegetables
If you don't drive a TTC pass will run you about $100 a month for unlimited travel, and the transit is 24 hours to most places. Drinks in bars are between $5 and 10 a piece.
Not sure if you need pricing for anything else...

A lot for me to think about I guess. I can only really see me banking about a grand a month lol
