Hello there!
Project Vancouver is upgrading. We found an ENORMOUS house (seriously... 4 floors) right on Vine and W8th (awesomest place in Kits... walking distance to beach, lounges, restaurants, etc...). It's a 7 bedroom and could possibly be a 9 bedroom (but we might not want to do that yet, but a possibility down the road... so there is lots of room for storage or whatever you could think of).
The quality of the house is decent. They are putting in new floors and the kitchen is being revamped with new cabinets and counter tops. If there are any broken sinks or anything else, it can be taken care of.
Total house rent is $3500, and between 7 of us it'd be $500 each.
It's available October 1st (short notice, but such a good opportunity to pass up...)

What do we do at Project Vancouver?
Everyone in the house is obligated to attend a WEEKLY house meeting, where we sit down for a few hours, discuss house matters, finances, etc... and more importantly plan and set goals for one another which hold us to a higher standard and must be completed by the following week. Every week we also assign a personal coach for each other, where we follow-up and hold that person accountable and to make sure he's achieving his stuff. Progress is basically guarantee'd! You're also obligated to fill out a weekly progress report and submit it to the house book (we have a binder with all house matters), which includes your top achievements for the week, top magic moments, and what you learned.
What are we looking for?
- some that is RESPONSIBLE (will pay rent on time and attend all the meetings w/o being flakey or late)
- someone that is MOTIVATED and capable of following through on his goals
- someone that is WILLING TO LEARN and OPEN-MINDED
- someone that is POSITIVE and will add a good energy to the house
- someone that can CONTRIBUTE to the house and help organize things and make sure everything is intact and the house is keeping together
Very simple.
For me personally, living in this house has changed my life in major ways. I get a shit load of work done every week and have been moving closer and closer towards my goals (much faster rate than before). I've been getting in better shape and eatting healthier, since some of us are really into health, which makes it easy to get that area taken care of. Just being around positive people and people that care and show support helps a lot. We do each other favors all the time and are always open and willing to listen and help you with any problem you're dealing with. We also share a lot of knowledge and share books too (so far 4/5 of us have read the book War of Art, which I recommended, and is on procrastination and getting more done). We're also planning parties and plan on putting more events at the house as well (already had a movie night and the public speaking event is coming up).
