Default Friends can be so sneaky! (DHV story)

*Hey chochachos, this happened to me about a year ago. I've turned it into a DHV routine but I think it could be better. I've written it out loads and this is the best I could come up with.*

I met my friend Jason about four years ago. I had just qualified as a personal trainer and he was my first client ever! His goal was to be a fitness model and he's been doing it for like two years now. Now one month he didn't have any photoshoots and so he signed up to model nude in an art class to make some quick cash. But he got sick. He told me he felt terrible because he would lose a large amount of money if he didn't go. He said that if I impersonated him, he would hook me up with half of the money. I had never done anything like that before but was totally down to try it, at least once. I went to the studio and started to pose. A couple of difficult poses later, a lady came and talked to the teacher. She told him that my friend had just called her and said that he was too sick to make it to class. I was busted!

The teacher asked me who I was and all I could think of was RUN! I got my clothes and simply ran away!

Turns out, this was all a set up and my friends had been planning it for weeks! I felt so violated.

My goal was to demonstrate:

- Healthy lifestyle (I'm in shape so they can tell)
- Willing to be adventurous
- Comfortable to laugh at myself
- Sense of humour.

I don't know if I should tell it past tense or present tense.

Do you think I hit on those well enough, or should I change something?

Kill it.

-Beginging part about being a personal trainer saound like it is there to brag, a DLV
-The point of it is that your friends palyed a massive practical joke on you and effectively tool you is a big DLV.
-You reaction is to run when you were challenged is a DLV.

It does have good points tho

-Willing to help out a friend
-Adventurous
-If you can convery your a personal trainer without bragging, thats a DHV.

A DHV story dont have to be exact or even make sense, as long as its entertaining and funny. You obviouslty want to avoid DLVs too. Immagine that you are telling it as someone who has the respect of his friends instead of someone who has jokes played on him.

Yeah, I was worried that the trainer bit might be a bit of a DLV. cool Ill scrap that.

Also, this was an April fools that I fell for. I forgot to mention that because I suck.

Does that make a difference or do you think I should still scrap it?

Dont brag about being a personal trainer, add that its for an April fools and that you loved it. Change how you reacted when she called you out i.e dont run away!

My Friend Jason is a sexy ass fitness model, he's really good, but also a complete bastard. One month he didnt have any photoshoots...blahblahblah...The teacher asked me who I was and all I could think to say was Leonardo Da Vinchi, and thats what came out. Needles to say he was'nt impressed and asked me to leave, so I did. But not before I took Full payment of the services I had already rendered.

Use it if you like it, it's better then running away after getting embaressed. The still getting paid is a big DHV - cocky enough to demand payment after you were found to be an imposter, and cool enough so that you actually get paid too.

'Because I'm such a sexy ass too, he said that if I impersonated him' blahblahblah (help set the frame that you're (drum roal please) a sexy ass. - obviously this is all A2 stuff so you have the playfull vibe and can get away with calling yourself a sexy ass).

Test it as is, test it with some changes, esp. if it's the truth. See how it goes. When you say "I felt violated", might want to expand a little bit..like you felt cheap, used, exploited, vulnerable, etc.

Dudes, I dropped the personal trainer stuff and put in The Laws bit about demanding payment. I said that the teacher totally refused and I ended up running away. I said I ran away because I really wanted to use the phrase "cock flapping". Dave Attell has a great thirty second bit about if you ever see a man running down the street "cock flapping" you should run with that man.

I did it on about six or seven sets and it came of better and better as I got more comfortable using it. It opened up a "Most embarrassing moments" thread naturally the first time and when it didn't I just had to prompt it. "Have you guys ever felt really embarrassed?". Good feedback guys, thanks.

you should take a few secs to give people an idea of what kind of person your friend is. Characters are the essence of good storytelling, you will find that when a person tells you a story it can be awkward and boring if it involves 3+ people since the storyteller is getting bogged down in pronouns (he said, then the other guy did, so she...) ex:

"Hey babe sorry, but I'm not going to be able to make it out tonight - I've got to go downtown to help a friend... It's crazy I'll tell you some other time... *she responds* Well my sparring partner Eric got himself into a fight and I've got to go pick him up from the police station. Thing about Eric is, he's an awesome guy, and a loyal friend, and him and I go way back, we used to light matches on the driveway together. He's sensitive about his height though. He can be alot like those guys you see who feel like they have something to prove when someone disrespects them. So what happened was>>>FILL IN THE BLANKS>>"
