Meeting someone Social Circle

Sup fellas. My friend, who I lift and go out with personal trains at the gym he owns. Anyways, a few weeks ago he picked up a new client who is my age and very pretty. I blew about 2 good opportunities to talk to her being the scared chode I am. I brought it up to him that I had an interest in her and would like to meet her. He said that he would introduce me to her.

I realize that day game and meeting people within your social circle is a different beast and opening is done in a different way regarding the emotional progression model. Im not sure if im remembering correctly but I think you can skip right to comfort? Ive been studying DD, MM, and RSD so my mixed ideas are based on a couple different techniques I guess. Ill admit that I am lost and I want to plan out the interaction. Im sure that Ill be meeting her in the gym and most likely when one of us is in the middle of a workout. Im drawing blank for many ideas and any ways to build attraction by being cocky and funny. Here is my idea. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Friend to Her: Hey (her) I wanted you to meet my friend Pinnacle
Pinnacle: Hey Ive heard a lot about you (Basically the deciding branch in the conversation tree that I need ideas)
XXX: Oh yeah whats that
Pinnacle: That your trouble, im just kidding. Comment about working out or the gym (i know the j/k is breaking the tension but i think not saying it is strange)
Her: Response
Pinnacle: So where are you from? (Move into comfort but possibly come back to transition to build rapport)

A pretty golden one I heard on a podcast from the guys over at TSB.com is a variant on that that might work better:

You: So you're so-and-so, first off, I just want to say I don't any of those bad stories (friend's name) told me about you.

Say that while smiling so it's obvious you're joking and you don't need the j/k. I wish I could help you out more in general but I'm afraid I'm struggling with much of the same terrain myself. One thing I would think about is whether meeting her for the first time in the gym is really ideal. Some venues place limits on social interactions that can't be circumvented by any amount of PUA-prowess, and I know that I personally avoid chatting up girls in situations where I'm out of breath if I can because when I'm out of breath I ain't sexy, and there's no way around that.

However, if the gym is the location, I'd say if you're meeting this girl and your mutual friend why not have any idea about someplace to go afterwards for a bite to eat or a drink? If you don't know any places near the gym, search for the address or general area on Yelp.com or CitySearch.com and see what's around.
