so a while ago, I posted an ad on craigslist. Today, I got a response from a girl, not any random girl, but a girl whom i know pretty well and am friends with on facebook. Of course, she doesn't know it's me. And ironically in the last sentence, she wrote "wouldn't it be extremely awkward if we already know each other?" So what should I do? Do I just let it go because it's too awkward? Or do I bust her on this?

Sound like you have cold feet, otherwise you wouldn't be asking for advice. It looks like you've already made up your mind.
If the girl is your friend and you want to stay friends with her (which I would recommend) then you should just let it go.

noo, don't let her know it's YOU. Build ridiculous attraction and then let her find out at some point. You're instantly in at that point. (huge comfort +a3 spike, if she already likes you, she'll now love you and be willing to go out at any cost.)

I'd generate huge interest, see where it went. Assuming I'd always wanted to go Rocco Siffredi on her ass then I'd go for it, transition to phone, to meeting. Tell her when the attraction outweighed the risk & do what I love to do.

Failing that, set up on of our mutual friends so that she can't look him in the eye anymore & tell him that she's really into him. I say friends I mean associates of course. Well, actually it's that guy I secretly never liked.
