How do you respond to girls that know guys that "look like you"

Over the last six weeks I have had no less than 4 girls say they know someone that looks just like me. 3 were younger, probably 19-21 and one was older 35+. In the past this has been something I've commonly heard as well. I'm 24yo, 6' 170lb and generally considered "hot" or "cute" by most girls i meet. I don't peacock much at this point, but I'm usually more slightly nicely dressed than most. I usually just respond with "i have a familiar look" because I don't want qualify myself by saying that I'm better. Sometimes that ends it, other times they stay stuck on it. What would be a good way to break through that? Also, what kind of signal is that? IOD? IOI?

Cut off any conversational thread that does not help you get laid [Credit: Sinn and TMM]. At the very least, treat it as an IOI [assume it's on] and keep interacting with her. You can follow up, for example, with a cold read or a transitioning routine. ANYTHING. If they've opened you with that 'comment', it's YOUR job to keep talking to her/them. Have a prepared routine stack if you can't vibe and improvise.

This is just an excuse for her to talk to you. It's like the equivalent of guys saying "I like your shoes" <<< just situational.

Why do you feel the need to have a ' BEST response' to everything that a girl/person says to you? why?

Basically ANY time you have an in-field experience more than once, plan out your response so you're READY.

You: Hm... (put hand on chin and pretend to ponder it for a second or two then look like you mistrust her quite a lot).
You: Have you been talking to a super hot guy on one of those dating websites? Don't you know you can't trust ANYONE on the internet? Those guys never use their real pictures, you know (big wink and a smile).

See? Now you've just negged her in a beautifully sublime way (she can't get a date so she uses the internet and she's talking to losers) while you just made her "agree" you are a hot guy.

Uh.. don't get too in depth about this.. I mean.. a lot of girls come up to me and say.. hey, you look like some asian popstar....Honestly, I don't really care anymore.. I still peacock.. I already have girls open me, but by peacocking, i get more =P I just simply wear a necklace thingy.. It's shiny.. I duno whats with girls and shiny things.. but it's a shiny rock pendant.. with an opal thingy in it.. like a bear claw.. the opal is really pretty.. shiny.. all different colours.. that's why i like opal =)

Just continue.. don't think about attraction material.. no need for negs since she opened you.. just BE INTERESTING. If you're not an interesting guy, it's hard to be interesting but you can learn. It took me 3 years to actually BECOME the most interesting guy I know.. but it's well worth it..

Thanks for the replies! lots of good stuff so far. Two of them were opened on me, but the others came later in the set. In one case my my friend was talking abut names and the girl said i looked like a XXXX XXXX who was someone she knew. The other time anytime i let the convo die at all she would bring up how i looked like someone she knew. (this was actually before i joined the community, but it's worth noting because it was in field).
At this point i think the best thing i can do is change the subject since it doesn't really benefit me. If it keeps coming up the whole "you must know sexy people" seems passive but usefull.

"wow, you must have been in love!" It's neither an IOI/IOD until you find out the person shes mentally associating you with... The previous statement/Reply, frames you alpha, also baits her to explain.. Get it..
