When you go out, there are many things that can affect your game;
cock blocks,
AMOGS’s, logistics and so on.
We should seek
to maintain control over as many aspects of our game as possible, so we are free to interact with women with fewer distractions.
This post will be broken into 3 volumes;
Volume I : Style & first impressions
Volume II : Grooming & physique
Volume III : Minimising Last minute resistance (LMR)
Style & first impressions
As guys, our vision is very 'tunnel-like' we can only take in certain things at any one time. Girls however, have a much broader range of peripheral vision (
source) and so will be subconsciously taking in all the minor details about you. Knowing this, we should actively seek to control as much about our appearance as possible.
You don’t want to need to overcome more than you have to – girls notice the small details. There a great saying from the world of business that I believe is super important:
“You never get a second chance to make a first impression” -
so make your first impression count.
So, how do we do this?
Many guys believe that to be good at game you have to be 'good-looking'. This is simply NOT THE CASE.
BUT.
You DO have to dress well, and make a strong impression visually.
Its not necessary to be dressed head to toe in designer wear, but *what* you wear should be:
- Stylish
- Fit well (if you have a bit of a beer belly, vertical striped shirts can hide this well – avoid tight T shirts unless you’re cut)
- Smell laundered fresh (very subtle, but it is noticeable; use good quality washing powder)
- Not ragged and old (unless intentionally so in the design)
Just say ‘NO’ to chequered short sleeved shirts / ‘Ralph Lauren’ polo t-shirts and blue jeans!
SHOES – you have NO idea how many women have told me that one of the first things they notice about a guy is his shoes! Think how much money and time spend on their own shoes and its not a massive leap to think they’ll notice yours too.
So, if you’re in smarts, wear good quality leather ones. As a general rule, if you’re in smart shoes, they should match your belt in colour.
If you’re in trainers, make sure they’re not too worn out and shabby. Throw them in the washing machine every now and again if possible too, especially if they’re white.
SOCKS – throw out ALL your manky, holey socks and get new ones, they’re so cheap – again, a seemingly tiny detail, but girls will notice
BELTS with a cool buckle look awesome, especially if you’re in a jacket too; fasten only one button which will allow the buckle to flash
JEWELLERY – a funky necklace, a cool wrist band/watch all good things to add. Again, they don’t have to be expensive designer things, just something that’s different. They also give girls a reason to open you if theyre interested; “omg I love your necklace!” a massive IOI which you can use to your advantage.
If you need inspiration, check men’s magazines (
GQ,
Arena,
Vogue etc) for fashion types/styles, take what you feel suits your personality and make it your own
Go shopping with a girl and get her to help find things that make you look hot - Ask shop assistants to help you pick things out.
...to be continued.
