The book: Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. Thoughts? Hey hey lads
So i bought this book a while ago, read through the first half of it and then just forgot about it. Now im actually in the beginning of a relationship, i thought id give it another look.
One chapter of the book is about how men misinterpret what women say and vice versa
e.g. if a girl says 'im so tired, i cant do anything'. we would hear it as 'I do everything and your such a lazy bum that you just make things worse' when apparently what she really means is 'I am so tired today, would you tell me that Im doing a good job and give me a hug?'
Now to me, this kinda looks like a shit test. If i fell for it, would i be hurting the frame of me being in control? or would it cause her to like me even more?
I was talking with this girl that im pretty sure would be my GF by now if we didnt live far apart. But i was always being cocky and funny and such. And then one day, she seemed completly turned off by me (she was actually more distracted by CSI than talking to me on MSN). And it stayed that way for a day until i started showing her some affection. Now shes like really into me again.
Im still inexperienced so im not entirely sure what to make of this 'falling for shit tests that are asking for affection thing' and I know you guys are far better at this stuff than i am, so im wondering your thoughts would be if a girl gave you signs like these and what your thoughts are on the book in general.
Thanks very much |
