What's in a name? (Plenty!)

The other day I was searching for a friend named Lauren on Facebook.

I searched her first and last name, and although she wasn't listed, there were 6 pages of Laurens.

Every one was smoking hot. There was not a fat or heinous-looking Lauren in the bunch.

It occurred to me that I've never met an ugly Lauren.

In fact, I've never met an ugly:

• Jennifer
• Jamie
• Danielle
• Courtney

On the other hand, I've never met a "Dara" who wasn't a mental case, or a Betsy who didn't enjoy knitting and book clubs.

Have you noticed a trend among certain names?

Could it be that when you give a girl a hot name, she kinda grows into it?

Or am I noticing something that doesn't exist, have too much time on my hands, or jumped to conclusions not realizing that chicks with scary helmets probably don't post their photos on Facebook?

Please hold me, I'm scared.

Ditto on the Arlenes and Sharons. What is it about naming a girl "Sharon" that guarantees she'll have peach fuzz on her face?

By the way, after writing the first post, I searched another friend named Ashley on Facebook.

I would go into details, but you can figure out the result -- hotness.

(There was one photo of three chicks, all holding up their dresses so you could see what was underneath. Not only are Ashleys hot, but some are on fire.)

It's cool that someone else thinks this way, most stevens / stephens and nathans I know are very cool people.

As for chicks, jennifer's i know are all smoking.

hmm...I havent noticed it as much as some of you have.

For example:
Ive slept with two Jennifers
One was pretty ugly but holy shit she was amazing in bed (I was a full blown AFC back then)

the other didnt have that nice of a face but gorgeous body.

I did notice one thing...every jennifer Ive met has had HUGE tits .

The only sharon I know is my cousin...and I dont live in alabama so I dont think of her in that way :P.

Really when it comes down to it Ive only noticed that girls named Mary that I meet tend to be completely psycho and typically religious lol.

As far as the guy who posted about steven/stephen. I have an 2 uncles, a cousin, a step dad, and two friends named steven.

One of said friends is a pretty cool guy lol the rest of the family/friends annoy me lol.

Rachels and Sarahs are crazy, Ashleys are usually hot in some way, Leslies and Tonyas are compulsive liars. I agree, the name has some effect to how they percieve themselves. I have met a fat Whitney though, sorry Shift.

This name thing also makes a great DQ/qualifier. I.E. Oh no another (name)?! All (name)s I've ever met are (insert bad personality trait). We'll never get along. On the bright so though, (name)s can cook/clean/do laundry/ etc. really well.

You could also use this as a great conversational thread/opener.
