FR - robbed of a set by a friend

I don't know if I can even hang out with my old friends any more. I went out with a couple friends last night and a couple girls that knew one of my friends. I immediately was attracted to one of the girls so I started to game her. We pre-gamed before the bars and I got her into C1. She started qualifying for me and I'd show her IOI's then do takeaways. We went out to a bar with a couple friends. One of my friends who has a girlfriend asked my target if she wanted to dance. She said no and looked a little timid. I waited a minute and put my hand out and said lets go dance. She eagerly followed. I did the little spin trick, I even lifted her up (which got a bouncer pissed). All was going really well. Then we went back to the bar and my friend (who has a girlfriend) asked her if she wanted to go smoke a cigarette. I didn't mind, I figured this would be time to go game some other sets. Him, her and her friend (another girl) disappeared the rest of the night. I found out later he ended up making out with her, basically stealing this set of girls right out from under me. The rest of the night was a disaster. I ended up getting blown out of set after set after set, spending $45 on drinks I didn't order, and having a girl who's interested in me basically tell me not to call her any more because I went out. I just don't know where to go next. I could open a set, and hold their attention for a minute but it seemed like it'd fade - even if I stacked routines. This is really discouraging to me because it had seemed like I'd made a lot of progress and because I basically got fucked over by a friend. Once again I realize I need new friends.

Any advice is appreciated. (should I have gone outside with them?)

With other sets I'd use an opinion opener : "my friend has a crush on a co-worker, do you think he should go for it?"

I tried stacking that with a thing about woman's gymnasitcs. Blow out.

I opened a set and pecked a bit, realized I was making a mistake and stopped. They responded then walked off.

I opened a set near the bar, locked in at the bar and then got blown out by a boyfriend showing up and basically dragging his girlfriend off.

One guy I was there with ordered 5 drinks and handed me one. He walked off and came back. His card had bounced. The bouncer looked at me and said I had to pay. I said I'll pay for the one I'm drinking. He said it didn't work that way. Some girls were standing near by. I turned to my friend and said you owe me and paid for the drinks. I turned to the girls and said what would you think in this situation? They both mumbled something then walked off.

Overall disasterous for me. I feel like a complete AFC all over again. I'm not gonna use that opener any more. I'll stick to scripted ones for a while.

wow.. sounds like a complete disaster!!! I would not have paid for the drinks. I think your friend might have done it on purpose.. and THAT is one of the reasons WHY i dont buy drinks...

I also dont drink whatsoever when im playing my game. If you see me with a drink in my hand its because a girl bought it for me.

heh thanks. yea I wouldn't have if he had just like not paid for it but his card bounced. It was pretty rediculous. I got dropped off by my friend that robbed the set with my other friend and his girlfriend. They asked me if they could use the bathroom in my house. I got out of the car, said "fuck off" and walked inside. I guess I realize that it's intimidating not having any real friends in the area, but at this point it's better than having the douchebags I had as friends. I was just being a pussy by not cutting off these weak ties. I'm going to leave all of our friendships at that ("Fuck off"). There's only one friend in the group I appreciate and they fucked him over last night too. I'm gonna straight up tell him I wanna kick it with you still. I wanna go out with you still and sarge (he's not really into the PUA scene but he understands the rules) but I will not hang out with them - EVER. I start school here on the 25th so that's a good opportunity to start building a new social circle and I think i'll take it.
Until then time for some self improvement. I'm gonna hit the gym.

These are a few of the things I hate about the game. The club/bar scene, flakey girls, and the supposed "friends" that are quick to snatch girls.

If I can give you any advice at all, start dating girls over 22 years old, make new friends, and get out of the bar scene for a while. If it is anything like around here, you'll end up with trashy girls, trashy friends, and unwanted visitors in your pants.

I think the biggest mistake you're making is opinion openers in a club environment. I think they work well during the day but it has to be something that gets people talking. Not just a "yes" or "no" answer. The transition also needs to be related. Intelligent people will sense random transitions with strangers. It comes across a bit like a creepy salesman.

It sounds like you're following typical mystery/generic pua game bullshit. Many people have seen it already, sense it, and will blow you out incredibly fast. You need to get creative if you insist on sticking with the bar scene.

Yea I'm pretty new to this so I'm following a guideline. Normally I'm much more coherent but after the whole set robbery thing I was just off. I couldn't think straight I was so consumed by rage. I'd preffer actually avoiding the club scene, what other spots would you suggest? That opener was something I hadn't tried so I was field testing it. Needless to say I will not be using it again. I guess I'm not even pissed off I didn't get the girl, or even had a bad night (I've submitted to the fact that those will happen, even to the best of the best) - I'm mostly pissed off because a "friend would do that and I've lost a "friend" over this. Yea I know he's not really a friend but it still sucks.

Bookstores, coffee shops, the internet, all great places to find intelligent women.

My "bookstore routine" is one that Juggler recommends. You basically approach a girl, ask her if she could recommend a good book. The wording is important... but it is basically, "so what's a good book you could recommend?" followed up by a "oh, that sounds cool, what is it about?" The goal is to get the girl talking and invested in the conversation.

I have my own personal "coffee shop routine" that involves a magazine. Sit near a girl you're interested, keep to yourself, find something interesting in the magazine, something either short or and advertisement. Use it to open by asking what they think of it.
