I think that your insight number 3 seems to be a little off. In strip clubs men tend to talk a bit cruder, a bit more insulting to strippers than they would otherwise talk to women. Mostly strippers will play along because it is as if the abuse is just part of the territory.

Hang out with enough strippers and it becomes obvious that most, if not all, tend to have deep rooted emotional problems, some rather severely. You’d be surprised how many tend to be of the type that will be all fun and games yet go off and cry at the end of the day. Every girlfriend/friend of mine who worked as a stripper has complained, sometimes bitterly, about the crude and abusive language of some customers.

The other thing that seems a bit amiss is the bit about not paying. Possibly things work differently elsewhere but all the strip clubs I’ve ever been to, with all the strippers I’ve ever known I’ve never seen this happen. Typically if a group of guys go into a strip club and proceed to act cool and have a good time and all and not tip the dancers, that the strippers mostly ignore them. And if one or more of those guys are looking at the dancers then the strippers tend to view those guys as essentially stealing from them. “You don’t work for free, why should I” is the typical reaction from the strippers. Those who continue to stay, peek, and not tip tend to get asked to leave.

Most clubs tend to have a regular bar crowd that doesn’t necessarily tip the strippers, at least not with any regularity. But there is a difference. They are part of the bar’s culture and typically don’t pay a lot of attention to the girls as they dance. Often you’ll see the girls talking to these guys but there is no pick-up going on.

Most curious to me is the line, “Some of them I actually dismissed and told them to go make money and they actually refused.” This line, or some variation of it, appears in almost everything written about picking up strippers by PUA guru types. However, over the course of my life I’ve been intimate with 14 women who were strippers and countless others who were friends. By observation and by asking, I don’t think any of them would have ever been drawn into a situation were some guy just coming in and not tipping could have the power to grant the woman the decision to make money or not.

I’d really like to see someone work strippers as Fader here claims to. Make a video.
