Thanks a lot for your analysys Zyxst. You're definetely right: I should have calibrated better on the second LMR... I forgot to mention in my FR, however, that my target was leaving the following night so I had no chance to wait for the 4-7 hours needed to f-close.
In fact this was another reason to push it for the close... But I didn't make it...
As my wing in Montreal (Solid) often says: you have to push it as much as possible when it hurts the most. One of his favourite quotes is by Arnold Schwarzenegger:
"The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That's what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they'll go through the pain no matter what happens."
I guess that can be also applied to our game. I'll try to visualize Arnold the next time I'm so out of the comfort zone...
