My shoe post wasnt a promotion

This forum needs to chill the |||| out, it signs me out every 15 minutes or so, and now i cant view posts unless i'm signed in.

It deleted my post for bumping, then deleted the topic for "promo".

Last i checked my name isnt ralph lauren, and i dont own Yoox, so why is it a problem that i'm letting people know about a sale?

I know this forum is basically all about making money for its own business, but damn, give it a rest.

Actually the moderators here dont make any money. This is the only community forum of this size that I know of that is so closely moderated. It is nice - kind of stops it from spiralling out of control like so many of the others. They have even deleted and censored some of my posts and I have the cool guy instructor tag.

yeah i realize you guys do a good job of keeping things from getting out of hand.

I just didnt see it as a problem to let people in on a deal that i'm making nothing on.

Recommending a website which can be useful to members is ok. If you are unsure whether posting off-site links constitutes advertising, please check with one of the moderators/administrators BEFORE posting.

Recommending a particular product that is selling at a particular discount price for a limited time is blatant advertising. Providing the link to that product, which would lead TAF members to view and purchase that product and BUMPING your thread sound suspicious.

If we let one in, people will act based on such precedence and soon, people will start putting ebay links [no allowed], use TAF as free Classifieds advertising space [no allowed], sell second hand PU material here [no allowed] or even hint that they are dating coaches/plugging products on behalf of others, or even offering free coaching services/products as a marketing ploy to entice clients [no allowed].

Even worse, the spambots who regularly spam TAF don't own their "cheap NOKIA IPHONE for $299 SUPER DEALZ" neither.

Note that you were not issued any warning for such trangression.
