humorus heres an article by layne norton which i used to cut down and it worked wonders, read it its great | You are probably thinking 5x5 as in the Bill PEARL 5x5 bench routine. This is completely different.

The reason behind those gains is that you are putting a strain on your muscles, which they are not used to. But if you don't switch up your program or add extra weight you are going to plateau as your muscles get used to the weight/repetitions you're using. |

I started out at 170 pounds 3 years ago. I am 230 now and I am using the program. I was using a BBing routine for a long time, but I stopped making strength gains, so I switched to this.

| | | Humour, dude i think you have had amazing results. Well Done
now looking at the amount of volume you have there, i'm thinking that many people would do badly on that routine, but hey it worked well for you.
there is never any 1 best routine, but you don't do enough legs of full body movements for me.
is this program also for the natural trainer?

I myself do resistance training on odd days and running/cardio on even days. However for cardio, i use interval training/fartlek training instead.
For cardio i would not recommend using an elipitical as it has told to give an inaccurate depiction of weight loss. (due to the fact that most of the time you are using your own body weight and momentum to keep yourself going)
if you use a recumbent bike or cycle, its roughly a 3:1 ratio when compared to running. So for example 9 km of bicycling = 3 km of running | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
