I might have to get braces =[

Just as always each time I improve one aspect of my life another one takes a hit. I always had a pretty good smile in my opinion and was never insecure about it.

Here is the problem that I found out recently. Apparently as the teeth that are visible in my smile are fine, but the ones hiding have been getting slowly ||||ed. Now if me not getting braces means that my smile will stay the same way, the no big deal, but if it means that not getting braces will |||| up my teeth and I'll look like retard then this could be a problem.

I have 3 year left in college, if I start wearing braces when I am 20 in college it would not be cool. How will I smile when approaching when I'll look like a 12 year old, I already look too young anyways. This is just scary.

Anyways, has anyone gone through this, or going through a similar situation?

I wouldn't worry about the teeth so much. Im t22 and thinking of getting braces cos from the side, my teeth stick out. If you do end up getting braces, try to take the attention off them by eg. getting muscle, groovy hairstyle, in otherwords, bring attention to other physical features.

Some of the hottest girls I dated I dated in my early 20's when I had braces. The hottest girl in my social circle is dating a guy with braces. Nobody cares if you have braces.

Hey man, I feel your pain I had braces for three years in HS, and I'm 21 and have them again. I was worried about them at first, but really its NBD. Guys will bust my balls, but its all in good fun. I got the clear brackets though, If you can get these pay the extra money if needed. I've made out with girls, and days later they'd say ohh I didn't know you had braces. They could care less.

Just think of the reason you have the braces vs veneers. Your teeth will be awesome for years when they're in place.

Don't worry about it until you get a negative reaction because of it.

don't sweat it man. I didn't get braces till I was 24 and needed them throughout my teens, was just to insecure to get em when I was younger. I went the invisalign route and man I couldn't be happier. Its amazing how much more confident you become when you have a nice smile or straight teeth in my case.
