texting- what's my problem?

hey boys. listen- i think i need some serious work on my text game. here are a couple sample situations.

1. HBasian- this girl is hot. she's been into me for a while now, but i go back and forth to school and so i'm not in town much. well, i am this summer, and i don't have a girlfriend anymore.

here's a conversation tonight. last night we talked about going out this week/weekend. i told her i was busy but i'd find some time for her. this is what followed.

me- "i want to go have a little dessert, the craving for something sweet is agonizing. coming with?"
her-"what time? i'm gross from playing with children."
me-"perfect. i love children. plus, i smell like swimming pool, so we can both be equally skanky."
her-"well right now i'm playing a mean game of apples to apples. what time did you want to go?"
me-"i'm liking the sound of now."
her-"i cant, im sorry. i cant just leave yet :/"
me-"no worries. i'm gonna go out for a bit. call me if you're interested. otherwise, i'll call you saturday." -here i was trying to sound non-needy.
her-"allright sounds good."

second- i met a girl at work last night who just blew my mind. she was like a better looking amy smart, was really fun and cool, and tipped me like a millionaire. anyway, as she's walking out, i say "hey, blondie" and she comes over. i tell her "i don't ever do this" but i'm not letting her leave without her digits. she smiles and complies and tells me to text her, cause she never answers her phone. i used to ALWAYS wait a couple days to send a text, but i started to get the idea they needed a little reinforcement that night. so i sent her a message about two hours later and she didn't respond. i figured i'd wait a couple days and try again.

anyway, i'm beating around the bush. i need some help here. what can you tell me about text and phone game? i know to be playful and always take some time in between responses, and i'm usually pretty busy, so i do. whatcha got?

otherwise, when critiquing the convo with the hbasian, saying you want her to go now was a bad idea. I doubt she would go M.I.A. and abandon the kids she was with. You were definitely in there, but screwed up with the NOW thing.

with the second girl, i don't know what you texted her, but a good text on the same night might have been:

you: I just met your twin
hb: what?
you: yeah, she looked just liked you, blonde hair, blue eyes, she even had the same goofy laugh
hb: blah, blah (convo continues on)

I'm kinda new to the text game also, but have had very good success with it

Yah, CCarter has it more or less for the first one. She ain't gonna drop the kids to run out with you. "When you're done." would have been suffice.

For the second one, I usually send eithor: "Hey, whos that sexy guy you're with?" when you get her number and are still in set with her, or a "Goodnight cutie" with some reference to the previous interaction when going to bed. Keep It Simple Stupid.
