need help with conversation skills

I really need help with my conversation skills. Im just not making a connection with women. My friends say that my coversation are too boring or basic. there was an asian girl that works at the cell phone kiosk at my job i some how got her number. We then met up at a local gym the next day to work out. I just asked her basic stuff (interest stuff like). She seem like she was more into her workout than me. I see her all the time at work, but just a quick hi and thats it( no lets hang out after work type stuff. These seem to happen all the time. I do own magic bullets and some of these stuff does work, it just so much to remember. What can i do to make myself a better conversationalist and just a more interesting person to women in general? I just want get the ladies more interested and not forget who i am the second time they see me. Thanks for your help. I really appricieate it.

i can just tell you what works for me.. to have a lot to alk about, read, read, and READ! read the paper, read interesting books, it helps to know a little bit about everything, that way you can talk for hours! and still be interesting. Also remember to pay attention to what she says, build up on what she is saying.
