"Do I make you nervous?"

Hi everyone,

I'd like some opinions on this. Last night I met (for the first time) a very attractive Swedish chick for drinks. I was building attraction with my character "the victim of her seduction - she just wants to get me in bed." Well, we transitioned to C1 with the question game and we were making out in a corner booth for maybe 90 minutes. I suggested we leave to make the jump to arousel (she was giving me light resistance in C3) and I would walk her home (her apartment was like 4 Manhattan streets). All the while staying "in character". We got to her apartment and she didn't invite me in. O.K fine. I was still committed to "I just met you, I'm not that easy."

My question is this. I heard something last night I've never heard before. She asked me "do I make you nervous?" What does this mean? I have some ideas but I'd like some other opinions.

com'on man, you guys talked for 90 whole minutes, that "i'm not easy, i just met you" line makes no sense except to convey that you make a huge deal out of sex.

It means exactly what she asked. The question is why she's asking it. She may be detecting incongruence between you and your "character," and is making an interpretation. Or she's wondering why you're playing hard to get when she wants to have sex. What date # was this?

She was shit testing you by putting out the frame that you were lower value and therefore she the hot babe was making you nervous. I might have responded "do I make you horny?" [tossing her frame and putting my own out there] but I don't have the whole picture. Like Vapor said she picked up on some incongruence.

Vapor - I DID ask to use the bathroom and she gave me the old "my apartments a mess" line....this was date #1....i got her # last week walking down the street.

Spifflove - I felt my "higher status" game was right on. Thats what I'm thinking it was, just another test.

I know SHE was nervous because when we first met, I grabbed her hand and it was cold. I said "are you nervous?", she just looked at me sheepishly, so I said "don't be, I don't bite."

Please don't bump your threads.

It's your first date. Not being invited into her place is standard. Her asking if she makes you nervous could be detecting incongruence or nervousness, or she could be asking it back since you asked her (don't ask her that). Given how the date went, I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Also, not being invited in is a typical logistical disadvantage to dropping her off her her place -- she decides whether you can come in or not.
