Default Muscle pains (from working out)

hey hey hey

any recommendations on what to take for sore muscles...God, it takes me around 3 freaking days of pain to recover fully so I was wondering, besides bananas (for the high potassium value), any other suggestions?

that'll be DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). Maybe you're overtraining, maybe you're new to working out? Whats your routine like? how many times a week do you train?
Make sure your diet is high in protein carbs and good fats (ie. olive oils/fish oils/etc)

I shouldve used DOMS ehheheh

well nah Im saying it cuz the first few weeks after you havent done anything for a while your muscles are bound to ache.

I took a sabatical from training...and this sabatical lasted WAAAYYY too long (over 6 months hehehehe)...now Im back to training, doing 2 hours of capoeira twice a week which is a pretty hefty workout.

Im asking msotly cuz in a couple of weeks, while my body gets conditioned again, I will start hitting the gym and I KNOW whats gonna happen....its gonna be 2 to 3 days of varely beeing able to move my arms and the prime of the gaming the season is just starting thas why.

Currently my diet is mostly oriented towards all kinds of food, however Im not too worried bout fatty material as Im on a junk-food free diet and 90% of my meals are at home, mostly all contain good amounts of protein, and good amounts of carbs (rice/potato/pasta a must each day), meat/chicken (without fat and skin)/pork (pre-boiled).

Do some stretching between workouts. I am in my 30's and I get pretty sore from heavy workouts, but if I do some stretching on off days I recover a lot quicker.

If you don't like stretching, just hit a yoga class. yoga babes are cute

Yes indeed. Actually experimented with the yoga studio as a prime sarging spot, but the class is such an intense workout I couldn't justify the effort I did a lot of clock watching in yoga class. Some spectacular looking ladies, however.

The study revealed that, after an intense bout of eccentric exercise, administration of Ibuprofen decreased the perception of muscle soreness and CK activity. As expected, levels of muscle soreness increased significantly following the bout of eccentric activity. However, the Ibuprofen group experienced lower levels of muscle soreness compared to the placebo group at 24 and 48 hours.
