Here's a relatively new spot in Downtown L.A.

Great website

Classy, artsy, target rich.

From what a friend told me, THEY DO discriminate on certain looks mainly the thug/gangster type. If you look like a dirtbag, or scumbag, you ain't getting in.

The dress code seems okay, no tennis shoes, flip flops, etc... It ain't no sawdust joint either.

I don't know what day I'll be going (Fri or Sat this week--but I'll be there)... or if I'll be going alone or with a femme.

This is my new favorite place to hang!!

Me and my lady friend arrive early at about 9:15-9:30 and we are quickly led in, no line or anything. The place is an old electric generator factory built by the Edison company, the place is a freakin' masterpiece of art and design.

The cat that runs it spent 1 year, and 2 million dollars and it shows!

The dress code is very strict--dress to impress, but if you're metrosexual, you will have no problems getting in. Words of advice, no sneakers, no jerseys, no hats, no baggy jeans, etc...

The drinks are expensive but are made only with high end spirits, and natrual ingredients. I had this weird martini called The Spot Weld--which was Gin, Kahlua, Vanilla Bean, and Tonic. Yes, they actually put REAL vanilla beans in it (grounded of course).

Drinks I had there.

1. The Edison- Lavender Honey infused liqueur, pear liqueur, pear nectar

2. Spot Weld- Gin, kahlua, vanilla bean, tonic

3. Mistress- Pomegranate French Martini

All of the above were 3 of the strongest martinis I've ever had, and my hangover proves it!

I'll probably head out next week and try some grub.
It's FREE to get in, but if you get there past a certain hour, they will hold the line. If you live near by take a taxi.

I'll post more on this new discovery later.
