OAP: He Said/She Said: The DLV & DHV of Opening I just read the latest MM email letter on He said/She said part II. One thing that caught my attention is that the fella' who opened the set in a bar was considered to lose value by opening. The reason was because why would a high value guy need to approach strangers to talk to. This makes complete sense to me, however it also makes sense to me that a guy who takes social risks like this is demonstrating courage. And courage is a DHV, right? I think the scale of DHV/DLV often lies in the hands of the set or target. And, yes, still, you can find ways to tip the balance. I don't want to get too muddled here but basically I think that it's a question of sex drive driving a lonely guy to approach women. And, yes, this kind of desparation is LOW VALUE. However, breaking out of one's lonely low value routine is a hundred times better than sitting on the edge of one's bed imagining the end of the world.
So what does anyone here think. Is this cup half full, or half empty?
later, eVan
