Folder A: Sarging recordings - when I get back home I can disect the good and bad things about my session that day.
Folder B: Pre-Recorded Openers
Folder C: Pre-Recorded Stories and Routines
Folder D: "Empty" for now. Planning on putting in recordings of different methods that I can use to switch it up. Don't know for sure though =P
Also, another neat feature is that I can store these recordings on my computer so I can clear up space on my DVR. | You may want to check the legality of recording sarges in your area..

| | | I've started keeping a diary of events out in the field. Useful to reflect on what happened, what works for me & what doesn't, as well as what to improve on for the next sarge.

| | | I am also keeping folders...I take notes on all my material i read...I have a folder at home for MM, Juggler, RJ, DD, Thundercat and notes I took when I read The Game by Style....
Some of the more important theaories I type out on my laptop and combine them...for example the notes on Jugglers Group Theory differ somewhat alot with MM group theory, so I combine them and point out the differences....
This is the best way to internalise info other than field testing. Its how I used to study at university and still to this day whenever I need to study for something...just keep rewriting material...each time you look at it in a different light and it becomes forged in your brain. | How To Eliminate Your Fear Of Approaching Women | |

| | | Keynote and electronic cheatsheets For all of you who know keynote, check out this link in here: All PUA Routines/Knowledge at your fingertips!
a wonderful collection you can read from and add your own to. keep it updated...
a good way to carry round your routines and openers you want to learn and test is to synch them onto your mobile. thats what I do until i have internalized the story or to refresh a method... |

| | | Voice Recorder Which voice recorder or method is good for picking up sarges in loud club environments? I've found that my MP3 player gets overloaded so I'm thinking I need a good external microphone to capture the voice over the loud club music.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
As far as keynote, I'll check it out. I have a database program that I haven't been utilizing much but it's made for sarging. There are a few that might be useful for this (of course Microsoft Outlook and it's contact management is ok as well)

| | | Microsoft OneNote and Opera Although its not free, Microsoft OneNote has been invaluable in keeping my information organized and accessible. OneNote easily allows you to sort information using folders, and tabbed sections and pages. You can also move information around easily similar to the way text boxes move. Another useful feature is it integrates with windows so in any application you can press windows key + 's' and you can quickly drag the cursor anywhere for a screen capture and paste it into OneNote. The 2007 edition will be out soon, I highly recommend this program. I use it for school too.
The other thing that has made collecting info easier for me is a feature in the web browser I use. The browser is called Opera, it uses less system resources and has tabbed browsing, yada, yada. But the coolest thing I think is that it has a built in notebook. You can highlight any text on a webpage and press control+shift+c and its automatically pasted into the notebook. No more highlight, cntrl + c, switch to note taking app, control+v. |

| | | Not everybody learns the same, for me I remember things as ingestion by reading them, and by writing them secondary.
This may seem a bit excess and I don't know if it will prove to be beneficial to anyone else but I find the best things for me that I'd like to take in/improve/work out for myself and order them in a program similar to KeyNote I was using for storyboards called Freemind, I transferred them all to keynote this week, it's really efficient. At any rate, afterwords I write it out in notebooks in depth with my own thoughts on them and interpretations/alterations. Then read it every so often when I get the chance. As I learned from university the year I went before I took a break was when taking notes from the profs I internalized a lot of the information moreso writing it out in my own words, in my own interpretations and views. As a bonus it brings you congruency when releasing said conditioned knowledge over time with more ease.
Each person learns things differently, some by writing, some by reading, some by hearing and speaking(recording). The object isn't to get the stuff down on paper but to get the stuff in your head by any means. In the end your personal knowledge file should be in your head, not in your hard drive, desk drawer or tapes. That's the objective in my point of view at least. |

| | | Ya Another cool little clipper is evernote. A lot like google reader, except it has a full windows/mac client that syncs across multiple machines. |
