Default Los Angeles Venues

Since there is a wide variety of venues in LA, I will kick off this thread with venues in the Hollywood area. Hopefully others will add to this and eventually we will have a comprehensive list.
Saddle Ranch - Sunset This is pretty much PUA central for LA. Everytime I go here I bump into people from the community. The problem has become that the only target worth sarging at this venue are the hired guns. You will ocassionally get a tourist set in there, but if you try to run an opinion opener on any regular, trust me, they will have heard it before.
Standard Hotel - Sunset Also a PUA hot spot. Good on Tuesday nights, generally it is list-only but with some patience you can get in. During the summer, the pool side lounge is an excellent place to game, be warned though, the drinks here are extremely expensive.
Myagi's - Sunset I reccomend this Sushi restaurant as a good place to start your night. The food is decent, and the cliente is great to kick off a night with. Relaxed atmosphere where a lot of girls who are embarking on their girls night out, start off.
Red Rock - Sunset Great bar. Good food. Friday nights there are a lot of HB's. Dancing upstairs, darts downstairs. Get there early though as the place gets very crowded. No cover charge either.
LAX/Privledge/Mood/Shag/Basque I combined these because they are virtually the same. LAX is great on Thursday's, Privledge is good on Tuesday night, they are all slammed on the weekends. If you aren't on the list, bring as many HB's with you as possible to get in. Either that or stand in line and wait. Pure club game inside, dance floor, club music, etc. But each have 'smoking' areas, which is where I recommend all openers be used, as it is only here where you have enough space, and the volume is low enough.
Spider Club - Vine My favorite. This club has a dance area, bar/lounge area, and an open area with a bar. It is like three venues in one. The only drawback is that it can be hard to get into (bouncer will take cash, but if you befriend him you can get in for free) and it is hit or miss. Sometimes it is jammed and the women are incredibly easy to open, and others I can see tumbleweeds going through the place it is so empty.
Daddys- Vine Great bar, although a bit of a cock farm these days. Still, very relaxed, dark inside, it is usually one of my stops for the night. Does better business with hotter women during the winter months though. Still, despite its drop in potential targets, it is still a good place. No cover.
The Well - Sunset A slightly hipper version of Daddy's, more HB's, good atmopshere, and it is within walking distance of Daddy's, you can literally go back and forth between the two which is a benefit (and you can walk to Spider Club from there as well, making this entire strip by Sunset and Vine an excellent choice, as Basque is also there.)
Universal City Walk There is a Saddle Ranch there now, which is actually bigger than the one on Sunset and just as packed with people, except less PUA's, so it is a slightly better place to sarge. And the city walk has literally thousands of people on it, most tourists, a Sat day game on the city walk and then a night game at the Saddle Ranch is a good plan.
Cat and the Fiddle - Sunset Right down the road from MM central. Outdoor and indoor bar, most of the action occurs outdoors. Only problem with it is that parking sucks, and nothing else is by the venue. But, not a bad place for dinner and the outside is not to noisy and incredibly easy to open sets.
I am sure I am forgetting some, if I recall I will add them here. And of course, Santa Monica, Venice, Culver City, Beverly Hills, Malibu etc...all have excellent places, which should be added to this thread.

Element on Tuesday nights. You'll need some sort of "in", but the absolute best collection of 10's I have ever seen in one place

I really like Les Deux on either Tueday or Wednesday. Its right behind element (there is an awesome courtyard patio with an outdoor bar) Lots of areas to bring HB's for private chat, and low volume.

Bit of a tangent...what are good bars for conversation/kino escalation? Hollywood or the Westside. Somewhere to go on a Day 2? Not too loud preferably and ample opportunity to "be close." Any suggestions?

The Well on Sunset and Argyle is excellent for that Danny. So is poolside at The Standard. World Cafe in Santa Monica/Venice is good on the Westside. The hotel pools on Sunset all generally have an excellent view at night as well.

Where are the best places to park if you're not doing valet?
Also write down cover fee and price of typical well drink and domestic beer, and if they water down the hard stuff. That's a good gauge for most.
What about Dragonfly? Good, bad, played out?
Add Pasadena and Santa Monica, I think maybe around Fairfax, West Hollywood might be worth mentioning, and some of the beach towns... if they're worth it, cover to get in, good "off nights" just to check the place out. Plus there's the New Years Eve stuff coming up.
There's something for everybody there, and it's hard enough to keep up with LA Weekly, radio events and just going out there, talking to people, getting in the hotspots and seeing for yourself where you fit in best. At 2AM you will see SUVs with guys taking photos in front of some of the hot clubs though.
