Project Rockstar - Alex
There was no way I would miss the opportunity to be part of this years edition of Project Rockstar. So I did my best to make my application stand out, and make this happen.
Out of respect for every other applicants, I'll do my best to benefit from that program, and I hope to become a better individual at the end of the day.
Edit : Before you start wondering what Project Rockstar is, check out the blog www.ProjectRockstarBlog.com and the initial post about Project Rockstar
What to expect
I told my banker about Project Rockstar… What do you think she said?
“It’s gonna be a wonderful human experience.”
Everybody says that : friends, family … even random people I talk to! It’s impressive how much enthusiasm Project Rockstar generates. Everybody wants to know more about it. Everybody feels this is going to be huge.
Are you feeling it?
We are going to learn what the traditional schooling system couldn’t teach us.
Since nobody receives directions on how to live a great life, but rather how to conform to the norm, we live by total randomness. We let things happen by chance. We wonder about how to live a better life.
For me, this is it. Enough is enough. No more waiting for something to happen, or making excuses, or whatever… I’m ready to experiment what it’s like to live differently!
To be part of Project Rockstar, one had to display above average drive and passion in life, so I feel really honored to be one of the selected few. Now is the time to step outside my comfort zone, because I know this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to give it 100 percent. And by looking at the incredible line-up of instructors, it’s very clear that a lot of people have set very high expectations for us, too.
So today, all of us have taken the Supernova pill, and the treatment is about two months long.
Wait ’til you see the effects!
And here we go !
After a nice flight and a struggling journey in the London subway, I first met with Michel, Aaron, Josh and Adam on my arrival on Saturday. Even though we hadn’t met before, I could tell the vibe was already going on.
We, Rockstars, first hit the streets of a sunny London, and shared some random burger from a random chain restaurant on Oxford Street. I’m pretty sure mine wasn’t made from beef… Thus my first move was to buy fresh fruits for the next few days. So while everybody was competing for clerks’ attention in mobile phone stores, I was ectasic to discover that England was growing berries, which I will definitely include in the two next months meals.
I then left the other Rockstars to meet a friend for a bit of catch-up, before he leaves London to live a new life in Los Angeles. Cheers, Marian!
After wandering around on my way back to the Mansion, I met the handsome Claude, which among other languages, also speaks fluent french. Before you ever experiment what it feels to immerse yourself in a country speaking another language than your native tongue, you cannot understand what it feels. Nor do you imagine the relief that meeting someone speaking your mother tongue can provide. Nor do you know that sometimes, a missing word in a conversation can become such a big deal… So happily, I’m not doing the remake of “Lost in Translation” down here, because I worked hard on my English level in preparation for the magic of Project Rockstar, but it’s good to know, anyway, that I have a language allie in this journey.
We then headed to the local restaurants, and Michel noticed this place called FIKA. For those who still don’t know what this means, Fika is something very specific to the Scandinavian lifestyle. “Fika” means “having a drink with friends”, and it’s a social institution that every scandinavian puts at heart. So this was an obvious choice for Michel, who headed straight to that place without looking back.
The food was great, and we had a great time together, which was enough for me to make my night. But that wasn’t the end of it, since we then headed to the bar facing Maya club to meet some of the core instructors. These dudes are always the most energetic, coolest men in the place. Accross the street, the doors of Maya were waiting for us, so that’s what we did.
I think we all had a great time there, and I was pleasantly surprised by the high female to men ratio in that club. And they have the pimpest bottles of mineral sparkling water ever (the brand is Voss) !
Then it was time for us to get back home, and after a late-at-night discussion, I went to sleep.
My awesome wristband alarm clock, about which I will talk more later, woke me up for the first day of Project Rockstar !
I had my fruity breakfast during Mr M’s inspiring talk. During that talk, I felt so good about the choice I made by commiting to be one of the Rockstars, and making this happen. I felt the same melancoly I have when Christmas approaches, with charming dark skies and a low light day. Santa Claus is not expected for a while, still I felt this way. Actually, I have never felt the right emotions at the right moment. When winter is coming, my thoughts goes for sandy beaches and warm blue sky sunny days, whereas in the first day of summer I wonder about snowboarding on freshly fallen snow …
Anyway, today is “Pimp day”, since we head to Dr Yen’s Pimpcocking© seminar. Yen is one hell of a man. You have to watch him to understand what it means to be a stylish Italian dressed like a rockstar. His insane sense of style and awesome personality as an individual make his seminars way more interesting than just listening about fashion and grooming. It goes without saying that the more time you spend with that kind of bloke, the more your vision of the world, and what is socially acceptable , is challenged. His famous motto is “If you want to get laid like a Rockstar, start by looking like one !”
Samir, a personal fitness trainer and friend of Dr Yen, gave us a talk on fitness as well, with some useful reminders and written guidelines.
We then met some of the other instructors. Again, a whole bunch a cool dudes. We went to eat at an Ethiopian restaurant, and, whereas nobody seemed to like it, I did. They served a yellow, fruity-tasting honey wine, called Tej, which tasted quite differently from anything I’ve ever drank. The meal was made of sourdough bread and cooked meat with onions and vegetables. I liked it, even though the bread was kind of acidic.
At one point I realised the restaurant was all about guys still working to get further in life… and it made me wonder how much effort can someone be willing to invest to live his dream life. Unfortunately, few people seem to have the drive to act on their dreams. The restaurant was filled with that kind of people.
We started the day with R and London Hunk, with a general talk on fitness (training and nutrition), and body-measurements. I was glad that London Hunk mentioned green-drink extracts as an addition to our diets, as well as the alkaline/acid balance. I’ve done a bit of personal research on those subjects, and these are core concepts one has to understand to make the most of his physical training.
Then Bao talked about the challenges he overcame when his business started to generate more than one million in sales. One interesting point was to ask his managers about their vision of the business five years from now, and then channel them in the direction he had in mind, so that everybody works toward it.
Bao and Mr M then mentioned their pre-bedtime visualization exercises and the benefits they got from it (except kicking cortisol levels at the worst time in the day). It thus made me wonder about doing that kind of exercise in the morning, since the natural boost in cortisol level is exactly what one’s need to start a productive day. Bao insisted on the power of visualizing while staying at the level where you neither awake nor asleep, which is still compatible with the morning exercise, so I’m going to try it for the next few days.
Next Daxx came to meet us just before leaving for Los Angeles – everybody going to LA or what? As usual, this dude is shining by his attitude and appearance ! I’ve already met him before, so I knew what kind of natural social artist he is. Best of luck in your new life, mate!
We then had a meal in a Spanish Tapas buffet restaurant, and by “we”, I mean everybody other than me. My opinion on buffet is that they can’t break if they don’t serve crappy food with non-quality fillers, so I made it a rule not to eat at that kind of place in general.
To finish the day, Bugsy had a general talk on social openness, which, again, was definitely inspiring. He told us that his mood and the energy he could bring to social interactions was directly related to the amount of sleep he got.
And by the way, now is 2 a.m., and I’m the only Rockstar still awake… so it might be a good idea to have a bit of sleep, NOW.
First pissing rainy day in London ! We took a cab to meet Jeff d'Arcy for his intro talk on property investment, shares, bonds, and other underground schemes. I'm really interested in what Jeff is going to teach us, because my knowledge on the subject is limited to what Robert Kiyosaki had to say on the subject. Oh, and years ago, I used to play to Cashflow - the e-game as well, which I really recommend. We were given an assignement, which is an idea I find really awesome. I just talked with Aaron about that, and we are both thrilled to realize that if we do a good job for that exercise, we will basically know how to invest in property once we are back home... what we will do !
The weather got even worse when we went to eat for lunch, so I was dripping once I got back to the rockstar mansion. We were supposed to do some day game after that, but we were a bit too wet for that, so we postponed it to tomorrow, and instead have an intro talk on Social circle Mastery at the mansion.
But for starters, we had our first fitness training session with Regis, beginning with a push-up test. I did 59 push-ups in 60 seconds, which I am really proud of, since it's nearly a pushup per second. Even though, I had 5 seconds to complete the 60th one, but despite my groanings, I couldn't manage to make the symbolic 60th one. And guess who had the record in this session ? Jeff ! I have to admit: that guy is fit !
Then R showed us our workout routine for the nomade lifestyle we will adopt for the next weeks. That's interesting to see how he has come up with imaginative ways of training every body-parts without any gym equipment, but rather tables, couches and floor. The routine is basically composed of a 5 minutes warmup, an exhauting 20 minutes workout, and 5 minutes of stretching. Every fitness and sub-communications instructor has put emphasis on is : DO A LOT OF STRETCHING AFTER YOUR WORKOUT ! Not stretching after your workout is a usual caveat among people training out without a personal trainer, and this is partly responsible for bad posture, which is doing more damage to your appearance than no training at all.
Then MrM did a first talk on Social Circle Mastery (SCM). There is so much to say on the subject... I've already been to the SCM seminar by MrM and Braddock, and every time that I read my notes, I pick up a new thing I hadn't before. And this time, I undertood the use of pre-framing better.
and you're the guy who's only been learning English for a month?
Whoever taught you is better than English teachers across the country.
When I am writing in red, it's as an Attraction Forums mod or admin. When I write in normal text, it's just me.
Thanks mate !
Actually, I've been studying hard to learn how to speak english, more than writing, or reading it, because I use it a lot on a day to day basis. But whoever has already gone in full immersion in a country speaking another language knows that speaking and writing are two very distinct concepts.
I'm sure nobody would have the shadow of a doubt on my english speaking skills by reading my way of writing it, but I can tell you that it's only starting to click now, now that I am in a real full immersion.
That's the same for the way we learn to interact in a better way with people: learning the theory or the blueprint of social interactions can feel completely different than actually doing it.
Anyway, I really appreciate the feedback, and it comes at the perfect timing !

Today I woke up after 10 hours of sleep, and for the the first time ever in London, I felt quite rested. I know I still have some sleep catchup to do to release my adrenal tension, but I'm getting close to my normal levels. To make it short, it was a damn good night !
That was the first day of game, day and night.
So we started with day game, and I began by engaging this mixed group of scandinavian that were carrying bags, when I saw Dr Yen who was watching us.
Then everybody was assigned to go and talk to passing-by women, usually on their own.
Everybody did it willingly and everytime returned with a smile on their face.
I really liked one of the women I talked to, and was quite happy with my way of pushing the interaction the longest I could. She was a shop assistant in a clothes store (called French something) and was as pretty as funny. I love when women have a pronunced personality. Or at least are passionate about something. For me, there's nothing more annoying than someone setting high barriers when you talk to her, but then reavels herself to be completely empty on the inside: no passion or interest in life whatsoever, no energy, and even no charm... What is the matter with these people ? Why do they have to act like they are so worthy that they protect their non-interesting identity ? At least they should recognize that, and then work on it. I'd rather interact with someone empty but genuine than with someone acting bitchy.
So anyway, I went to talk to around 8 women, and everyone of them was kind of fun, but I wasn't attracted. Or both of us weren't. At some point, we were so all over the place that when I went to somebody, I heard things like "Wow, this happened to me twice already that day..." to which I responded "You mean boys are becoming men ? This is a great thing, isn't it ?".
As usual, I didn't have any specific goal in mind, so I just pushed the interaction as far as I could. Maybe not that much, because it was usually me that ended the interaction, but I was definitely acting unaffected by blanks in the conversation.
I saw some interesting stuff from the instructors and the other rockstars, and I was horrified to see the video film that Adam had taken from one my interactions. Actually, the girl had noticed him, so she became even more defensive than she already was (due to the fact she has already been opened twice that day). What I realised by looking at that film is that my posture is really, really bad. I knew it because Vercetti and Mr M had already pointed that out for me, but this is even worse I thought it was.
So here it is : my next goal is to rebuild my neck and fix that posture. And the rest of my sub-communications at the same time. I can't wait for Vercetti to come and give my advice on that matter. This is so important to me that if I hasn't been chosen to be part of Project Rockstar, I would have taken a 1 on 1 coaching with Vercetti to work on that.
After the day-game session, we went to have dinner in a crazy place with a factory-like appearance, but unfortunately, the food was not as elaborate as their deco.
Then we splitted in two groups, and Aaron, Josh, Vishal and me went to different bars with Palladin from Organic Seduction, and London Playboy joined us in Moonlight.
I have to admit I didn't do anything that I had already done in my past, but I made some realisation over the course of the night. The best one was during an interaction with two people (a man and a woman) working in the fashion industry, Palladin, Aaron and me. What was interesting is that, at some point of the interaction, those 2 people started to talk again with each other, Palladin had finished his cigarette, and we had just finished the last conversational thread, so we were somewhat being set apart. Usually I would have naturally go elsewhere at this point, so I made a sign to Palladin so we got out, but he looked at me like was acting like a newbie, and re-engaged the group like that : "Anyway guys, it was a pleasure meeting, but I have to get inside because I'm so cold... You know I'm from LA and the only thing we know is summer... Blablabla" and he was in again ! This was very interesting to see from my own eyes !
The rest of the night had a déjà-vu feeling :
- I opened groups of women with no goal in mind, so it lead me nowhere;
- we helped one of us to talk to the girl he was into by talking to her friends, so I spent around 45 minutes with a nice girl (definitely not my type);
- I went direct on a very hot girl and she was all over me, but when the female friend she was waiting for came back from the bathroom, I didn't notice her, thus she felt like I was ignoring her. Suffice it to say she was not so kind to let me share this magic moment with her attractive friend.
- Oh, and I blew one of Vishal's set by misinterpreting something that Palladin said (he wanted me to wing Aaron and especially not Vishal... which unfortunately I did ! Sorry mate, they weren't interesting anyway...)
That's it for today !
Today I was a bit tired, waking up after 5 hours sleep.
I woke up and thought about yesterday, wondering about all the women I had interacted with. I'm still trying to figure out why I'm constantly acting so picky, and why it is such a rare feeling for me to be attracted to someone. I can surely appreciate most of the interactions I am having, and those people I am talking to, but there's a gap between that level of interest and me feeling attracted. I'm talking about real attraction, when the only thing you think about is ripping her clothes off and doing her on the spot.
I don't know if I'm setting the bar too high, or if people around me are setting it too low, but I'm always the one that you can hear saying "Naaaaa, she's not my type" or "Mmmmm... she was fun but I wasn't attracted". Don't get me wrong, I'm not making excuses, and I'm definitely doing what I am told to. But the point is, it's very occasional for me to interact with someone I'd like to have a relationship with.
Anyway, I took my shower quickly and I was ready on time (wow, I have to reward myself on this one). We headed to the other mansion to have a talk with Stuart Sadler. This place has really an awesome potential for throwing after-parties... I hope the guys are planning to have a bit of cleaning and deco.
We had a talk with Stuart Sadler, and for the whole day, we worked on our goals and the mecanism behind axieties (including approach anxieties). Even though I had already wrote down my goals, this time I had to be even more specific, and it really helps to focus even more on them.
Then I went for some fruit gathering, when I got back to the mansion to find out that everyone had fallen asleep. The plumbers came to fix the heater, and in no time, the mansion became a warm and cosy place.
Previously in the afternoon, I discussed the subject of meditation with Conor, and yet another time, I had found an advocates to that practice. Since everyone was asleep, I tried to do a bit of meditation, but it was more of ending up falling asleep.
We then went to see R to receive personalised training directions. Mine was definitely oriented to get a better posture. Bugsy paid us a visit at that time. This dude has a great vibe going on, he's definitely fun to be around.
Afterward, I needed to go to the mansion to change from my sportive outfit, so I left the other rockstars to sort this out, but I ended being caught up in cleaning my room from all the dust. Thus I missed the first two hours of the infield session; but in the end, I can safely say that my room was women friendly.
The infield portion with King of heart was interesting. First, that guy has a very good vibe, and a lot of energy. He exudes so much openess, friendliness, genuiness... I would never shut him down if he was trying to infiltrate my group of girl friends on a night out.
I did a few sets here and there, and got stuck winging Aaron for ages. We got to bounce the girls, but I ended taking care of the two of them while the boys went into another club. We grabbed some food and chilled out a bit, but when Aaron told me he had already done what he wanted (get her contact info), we left them there to hit another bar.
It was an interesting place with a wicked deco, very artistic, that was packed with groups of friends (male and female).
I went to a group of norvegian women, and I knew they were exchanging that "who's that guy" look. A male friend of them went to me with the intent of blowing me away, and said something loudly suggesting that I was there to pick them up, and that he already had been intimate with some of them. I immediately started to befriend him, and soon enough, the dynamic of the group completely changed. This dude was really cool, and proceeded to introduce me to one of his friend who was also french, and after a bit of interesting chat, I asked him to introduce me to their girls, which he kindly did. Some random chat later (with not so much physical escalation or eye contact), we went back to the mansion. Jesus, I have to focus, because I'm getting nowhere doing it like that...
