@Project X - Yeah, I actually been down the "dip" before. I have had a month worth of non-stop approach which I got out every day and then, BOOM, I slowly began to not wanting to go out... But i think with the people supporting me in this forum will give me motivation to push thru.

@Vision11 - I am focusing my first week to be more consistently in the approach itself/less stalling and NOT worry about be in the conversation/stay longer in set. But I will try it next week tho.

    October 26, Wednesday - Day 4

    # of approaches: 6
    Location: Mall at around 6:20pm

Head over to a different mall trying to doing some basic approach before head over to work. Again, its pretty dark and the sun no where in sight.

HB6 and 7 2-set - Got out of the car and walking toward the mall and spotted these 2 HB came out. One is lighting a cig and the other about to talked on the phone. I approached with, "Hey, do you guys know where Starbuck is?" The explained for a bit saying its on the lower level but I know for a fact that it isn't. One of the girl told me to go down to the lower level and take the escalator up to find it. I thanked them and wish them a good night.

HB8.5 Longhair Blond - Spotted her almost immediately when I open the door into a store. I approach her with, "Excuse me," with gesture in my hand trying to get her attention. She stopped and I continued, "Do you know what time it is?". She looked at her watch and them stumbled at her bag trying to find her cellphone. I said something wrong with her watch? She saying something about it just for show? I dont remember. Anyway, I thanked her and wished her a good night.

HB8 Blackhair - Spotted her after coming out of the store and approached her with, "Hey, do you know where is Starbuck?". She pointed over the other side of the mall and I wished her a good night. She said you welcome and I ejected.

HB6 RoundFace Asian - Approached her near the food court asked for the time. She told me it was 6:30 without looking at her phone or watch. I asked if she was sure. She pulled out her cell and shown me. I thanked her and ejected.

    I forgot the other 2 I approached but I am positive I did 6.

Jeremy Soul said there will be a "dip". Just when you think you are getting better, you start sucking, sometimes sucking badly. Usually you quickly come out of the dip, but sometimes it takes week, months, to get out of the dip. But if you stick with it, you will eventually come out of the dip better than before.

I am trying to learn swimming as an adult. The best advice I've come across is -

"Swim any stroke by any means until you can swim a mile. Technique doesn't matter. Most of the technical problem for a beginner come from being anxious and uncomfortable in water. Once you can swim a mile non-stop, then to get better, it's all about technique."

The first 100 approaches is gonna be about getting comfortable talking to strangers, and hanging in as long as you can. Once you are comfortable, then you can start tweeking you technique.

    Keep up the good work!
Basically you're saying that once you get comfortable with just approaching, then you can try new things and improve your game?

When I am too nervous I can't even think straight let alone work on any techniques. Also much, not all, of body language issues such as squeaky voice are due to anxiety. I am still nervous, but I am relaxed enough to pay attention to the conversation, feel if there's any rapport, and trying to find ways to qualify.

Just to clarify, "the dip" doesn't refer to not motivated to go out, it refers to not improving or getting worse despite going out and trying hard or harder than before.

@Project X - I see now, thanks for clarify that for me. Just out of curiosity, how many approaches have you made? I think if you put some heart into just focus on the approach and get a good amount in your belt, things may start to "click". I have been out with a wingman i meet over at CC. We only sarged 2 times tho but during those times when i got out with him, I approached more than 30 sets with all direct but the convo didn't go anywhere with most of the girls. So I guess that doesn't count as "the dip" since I didn't really had enough approaches over extended period of time like weeks or months of approached. Anyway, I will continue to do more approaches daily and hopefully, get more experience and confident as well.

@DerickD - I am just focusing on just approach and get comfortable with it and knowing for a fact that girls are not all bitches and are very nice. Well, most of them anyway. Anyway, if you are comfortable with your approach then you can follow up with making assumption about her. "You look like you enjoy long walk on the beach". Whatever you can come up with at the moment. Or better yet, going direct and tell her you think she's cute/attractive/sexy.

    October 27, Thursday - Day 5

    # of approaches: 3
Location: Target near my place at 1:30pm

So I decided to go out in the afternoon and doing some approach at Target near my place.

HB6.5 Color dress- Got out of the car and saw her walked toward her car and open her with, "Hey, can you tell me the time?". She searched her purse for the her cell and took off her shade and tell me the time. I thanked her and eject.

HB8 Tall white girl - She walked toward me inside of Target and I approached her with, "Hey, do you know where Starbuck is?". She told me its on the front of the store. I thanked and and eject. I didn't know there is a starbuck inside this target or any target in general.

HB7 Short dress - Walked around a bit and saw her pushing her shopping cart and approach she asked for the time. She told me her phone battery was dead. I thanked her anyway and eject.

It is just so fucking funny the shit I come up with in my head of the excuses to not approach some of the girls in there. "She was looking at the products, a worker is working toward me and will see me talk to her, she saw me and walked away and will be weird if I approach". I was laughing at myself inside my head and these thoughts came up. I need to not give a fuck about these pussy excuses but it probly take some time.

Will approach more set later this afternoon before I head to work.
