Size small or extra small? - opinions please!

So I'm about to order some stuff from American Eagle, but I don't know which size to get (for tops). I normally wear size small, but I was at the store yesterday and it seems that the extra-small is the same in length, but a tighter fit. With the size small, there is more slack around the chest and shoulders area.

Being that I'm a skinny guy (5'7" and 130 lbs - I need to work out I know), I don't know if I should wear clothes that are tight on me. Is it better that the clothes are fitted around the arms and chest (size extra small), or better to have some slack so I don't look so thin? (Notice the arms/shoulders in the side views). I took pics for comparison. Thanks.

    extra small.

Alot of skinny people wear baggy clothes to appear larger, but instead you look more like a clothes hanger, so stick to clothes that fit.

the thing is up until now i have bought size small, and everything seems to fit me fine. i think the clothes shrink a little in the wash over time. so im afraid the extra small will be too small after the first wash.

Definitely extra small on the dress shirt. On the other shirts it's a toss up. I kinda like the small in the other 2 because the extra smalls are tight on the sleeves.

Yeah it depends what you are going for, I feel like for sweaters you want a bigger one, like a small instead of an xtra small. Although for dress shirts I definitely agree extra small. Just feel it out man and ask the people at the store you are going to what they think.

Which colors for this v-neck sweater?

Alright, thanks for the advice guys. While I'm at it, which colors do you recommend for this v-neck sweater? I know it may not be your style, but which color(s) do you think would match me (light skin, brown hair, brown eyes) and would go well with jeans for a casual daytime look?

I'm not sure why but I really like the yellow one, and perhaps black as well.

Extra small for the button down, small for the sweaters because you look too skinny in the arms with the extra small But definatly hit the gym and eat a lot of food
