How do I get veins popping out of my arms?

    Hi,

I would like some advice on how to get some veins popping off my forearm and biceps if possible? Are there any workouts I can do to achieve this? Or does it have alot to do with low bodyfat?

    Thanks!

I think that as your muscles get bigger, veins will pop out. But I also see a bunch of big guys who aren't all veiny so maybe its a genetic thing. I've noticed that when I work out more and get bigger, the veins come and when I stop and slim down they stop. Kinda a weird question, but keep workin out... work your biceps really hard along with your triceps. Get some strong shoulders too, do pushups and pullups.

Thanks bro. Do you think it's possible to grow the forearms by 2 inches in 14 weeks?

Veins come when your body fat percentage goes down. When I was heavier I could never see any veins but I had the size, and I couldn't understand why. Now that I've lost a lot of weight I'm a little smaller but more cut and my veins are all over the place lol.

Also, my younger brother's a personal trainer and he's body fat % is less than 10%, his arms look like spider webs.

There are pics on my myspace if you wanna see, but yea just work on a good combination of eating right and weights. I can't really tell you exactly what to do cuz I'm not qualified for that but there are plenty of places to go to find out.

THere's your answer. Also, some people tend to me more vascular than others and have more superficial veins. But increase muscle mass and decrease BF if you want veins.

There are 2 things that need to happen in order to acheive good vascularity:

    1) You need to work out. Muscles need oxygen to the blood. The more you workout the bigger they grow and the more oxygen will be needed to support these large muscles. Your body adapts to all kinds of stress. Thus when your muscles are stressed with insufficient oxygen supply your veins will actually grow and branch out more. This is why body builders in their 40s usually have more vascularity than bodybuilders in their early 20s. Really good vascularity comes with age unless you have really good genetics.

    2) You need to cut body fat. body builders have around 4% bodyfat for competition. That is an unhealthy amount of body fat for prolonged periods of time and is certainly not recomended unless you know what you are doing. I keep my body at around 8% bodyfat and I have very good definition and vascularity. I can go a bit leaner but the discipline involved in that is beyond what I'm willing to go through. When you cut body fat that low your diet becomes your religion. Also cutting body fat really low lowers your strength.

If you need help creating a diet I can help you create one that will get the results you need. just sent priv message.

Its a great site. The body builder (and author) on that site who has tought me the most about bodybuilding and cutting up without the use of steroids is Layne Norton. He is a professional all natural (no steroidss) bodybuilder. I recomend you read his articles on how to diet. The one problem with that site is many of the authors openly take steroids and as a result a lot of their knowledge base involves steroids. Thus if you take their advice without taking steroids you will not get the results they have gotten.

What I find is another thing in addition to what is posted above.

Genetics play a very large role in how your veiny your arms are more then anything.

I am a very big guy and relatively low %BF and I have literally no veins in my arm that show, Just my main arteries show in my arms, chest, thighs, and up my abs/obleques. My friend who is probably the same %BF and size his arms look like spider webs and it all comes down to genetics.

Lifting also helps because as your muscles grow they need more blood as stated above. And %BF is also another key factor.

To the end of your post if you're looking to increase your forearms 2" in 14 weeks there is no way in hell. That would take depending on your genetics half a year to years depending on the size of your arms now.
