Colors that best fit you: Winter/summer/spring/autumn

I read somewhere in an article that there are essentially four different types of complexions ( combination of skin eyes and hair ). These are categorized as follows:

    Winter person
    Spring Person
    Summer Person
    Autumn Person

now considering the eye color, hair color and skin type of the person, everybody can basically be categorized as one of those. My understanding is that certain types of people, have certain colors that really excentuate their features, and that they really look good in. (demonstrate attractiveness, minimize flaws)

Unfortunately this is basically the only information I have on this. If anyone has any idea of who/how to determine which type of person you are, and which colors really compliment which types of people that would be great.

    Thanks

My girl once said "You're a winter."

I asked what she was talking about and she started telling me I'm a "winter" because I always look best in brown, black, white, grey, etc. Generally darker colors. I just found this online along with several other results that would clear up your question:

A Winter person usually has very dark hair. Her best colors are contrasting colors, deep colors (often deep reds and blues), black, and white; her neutral colors are black, gray, and navy blue.

A Spring person usually has light to medium blond hair and warm golden skin tones. Her eyes are often in the brown or gray family. Her colors often include peaches, tans, and other earthy light colors. Her neutrals colors are cream, tan, and golden brown.

A Summer person may have blond or ash blond hair, a pink or rosy beige complexion, and bluish eyes. Her colors include ones with undertones of blue or rosy pink (i.e. mauve, rose pink, periwinkle blue). Her neutral colors are rosy beige, taupe, and cool gray.

An Autumn person is most likely a redhead but may also be a brunette with warm skin tones and brown eyes. The browns and golds of fall complement her coloring best. Her neutrals include anything in the warm brown family, rust, and olive green.
Or for a more comprehensive explanation:

    Hope this helps

you just gotta use soem critical thinking

clerical grey - when you see a man of the cloth wearing grey think that colour
burnt orange - a darker orange
jade is a shade of green, look up jade on google

actually I think you could google all these colours and find out what they look like

for myself in the winter times i like dark n rich colors like black cherry, black, grey, dark purple, and navy.

i have light brown hair and eyes. after i go to the tanning bed it makes black cherry/maroon, and hunter green make my skin, eyes, and teeth shine.

summer times fresh white and easter yellow look good on me.

i live in texas so there is only two real seasons... hot and cold.

I'm strong spring. Oddly enough I'm always attracted to darker colors such as black, grays, greens, and darker blues.

Guess I'm gonna have to buy a whole new wardrobe. One question though... I have some red in my face (think classic images of Santa, or Evan from Real World/Road Rules challenges - Fresh Meat, I think was his first show). Should I avoid red, or is there a way it can be used to my advantage?

I have dirty blonde hair (more blonde than brown) and blue eyes. Anyone have some more detailed tips?
