I have a TON of colognes. Colognes for me are like shoes to women. Keep in mind everyone smells different in the same cologne, so what might smell great on one person might smell offensive on another person, depending on how their phermones mix.

    Anyhow, on to my list...

    Top 5 every day colognes:

    1. curve
    2. fierce (A&F)
    3. lacoste
    4. givenchy
    5. dolce & gabana

One thing you'll notice as you get more and more into colognes is that everyone has an opinion, and very few colognes that you wear will receive 100% positive feedback. However, I have NEVER had anyone have anything negative to say when I'm wearing curve or fierce. Every other cologne I wear has gotten the odd negative feedback. You can't please everyone, but if I start getting too much negativity, I remove said cologne from my rotation.

    Here's some other good ones:

    Swiss Army
    Vera Wang
    John Varvatos
Unforgivable (black women always give me + feedback for this one for some reason)
    Burberry Brit
    Bulvari Aqua
    Eau d'Issey
    Pii
    Farenheit
    Envy
Jean Paul Gaultier (I don't really like this smell but most women seem to)

And here's some I've tried and don't like or no longer use:

    Paco Rabbane (*gag*)
Aqua di Gio (used to be one of my faves but this is played out like tommy)
    BLV
    Reaction (K. Cole)
    Rive Gauche

You're mileage may vary. Personally, I am not a fan of strong/pungent colognes and prefer lighter/clean smells. Maybe this would be different if I lived somewhere where it's cold, but here in south Florida, strong scent + heat + humidity = gross.

    my tommy bahama review.

i personally like it. comes on with alot of pepper contrasted with an indistinct sweet odor and projects politely, and ends with a slightly woody, sweet smell. pretty decent longevity, but it died quickly when i worked out. projection [sillage?] goes down with time, so the last 2 -4 hours you have a more romantic scent. not for daily use, but its a hell of a scent.

I like Diamonds by Armani; I'm not familiar with the others.

I just got some Fuel for Life by Diesel, and it's gotten good reactions everywhere I've gone. I also like L'eau d'Issey by Issey Myaki & Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme. Those 3 are probably my favorites.

You can't go wrong with Bulgari cologne, however they are very clean smell. Great to wear everyday and smell fresh rather than cologne you would wear on a weekend to get attention.

If you live in a city with a Saks (or Nordstrom’s) they are great places to purchase cologne. Usually they will throw samples at you. I usually keep all the sample bottles in my car just to have for those emergency situations.
