Quick Nutrition advice

    Quick Nutrition advice

    Hey guys, lost 1st 2lbs in last month but starting to slow now. Currently 5ft 10 and exactly 16st


    Brekfeast
    2 Scrambled eggs and 2 brown toasts with butter (500 cals)

    Lunch
    Tuna or Chicken sandwich Brown bread (450 cals)

    Snack
    Protein bar (220 cals)

    Dinner
    Salmon and broccolli with boiled potatoes
    Or roast chicken dinner, potatoes and veg both are about 700 cals.

    So total calories around 1800. Is that ok? Or is body slowing down metabolism with lack of food?? DRINKING plenty of water too so no issues there.

    In terms of exercise, been doing compound lifts on alterate days bench press, shoulder press, dead lifts, bent over rows and squats mixed in with boxing, swimming and hill sprints.

    Going well so far, main goal is weight loss but to look broad and strong.

    Any advice?

    How long have you been dieting and how much weight have you lost so far? If you keep things in kilos or pounds it will be easier to advice rather than keep doing conversions (All: 16st = 224 lb).

    Something is weird. I am your height, 50+ pounds lighter than you, have a slow metabolism, and would eat more than that at my breakeven point.

    Wait, are you saying you lost 16 pounds last month, or two pounds?

    If you lost 16 pounds last month, that would make sense, and you're dieting way too f'ing fast. Go to bodyrecomposition.com, read the forums, and have those guys revamp your diet.

    Yeah man, I weigh 224 lbs, I have a stalky build and was over weight there. I don;t know my body fat percentage but it's be high. I started working out and dieting on May1st 2010 and have lost 16lbs so far.

    What ya reckon?

    You should not be losing more than 2 pounds per week, on average. You are dieting much, much too quickly, and you're going to end up skinny fat, and then yo-yo'ing.

    It's awesome you've had the discipline to restrict calories this severely, but you can do it more intelligently and end up with a better physique that is easier to achieve that you can keep in the long term. Check out bodyrecomposition.com.
