    Shoes?

    Hey guys,

I've been wearing vans slip ons for a while now and I love them. The only problem is that they are completley flat the bottom of the shoes are flat so they have no sole which hurts after walking really long distances. Now that college has started I've had to walk a lot just to get to my classes and my feet have been hurting quite a bit since...not trying to be a bitch or anything but walking long distances in flat soled shoes isn't that great for your feet...I still love my Vans Slip Ons its just that I might need some shoes to use as an alternative on days that I have to walk a lot....

I was wondering if you guys knew any stylish shoes that aren't flat soled and don't hurt when you walk around in them....not like normal sneakers but something that looks pretty cool.

I've been looking into converse and was wondering if I could get your opinion on the these shoes Converse - Chuck Taylor, Jack Purcell, Basketball Shoes, Design Your Own Converse Shoes

I was looking into black, grey, red, or brown...

I was wondering if I can get your opinion on these and if you guys know any other shoes that are stylish but not flat soled...

    Thanks a lot!

I'm a pretty big shoehead so I think I can lead you in the right direction.

First and foremost, you're going to sometimes have to deal with the pain. IMO, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, kills the outfit someone is wearing when they have the worst kind of shoe/sneaker on. You could be wearing some of the most expensive and trendiest things out there, if you don't have the correct shoe/sneaker on, your outfit immediately becomes shit.

Secondly, depending on your style, I would try rockin' some Nike SBs. Most have extra padding in the soles whilst giving you a very trendy and cool look. They are comfy as well. I don't know your exact style, but you wear Vans so I'm assuming you don't wear super baggy jeans and I would assume some SBs would suffice.

If you don't like the SBs, I would probably recommend a slick looking Puma sneaker. No, I'm not talking about those hideous driving shoes that Puma puts out, rather the Puma Roma's or something similar to that style. Google "Puma Roma" if you don't know what I'm talking about. They are a pretty popular shoe. I like to stray away from the more popular shoes, but I know from experience that the Roma's are a very good sneaker.

If you have any other questions, comments, or are just wondering what kind of shoes/sneaks I wear, just lemme know.

FTR, Chucks and similar styles to Chucks are going to be just as bad, if not worse, than your Vans. They have next to no sole and are very flat. They are a great sneaker though. I love my Chucks.

But some insoles if they are hurting your feet, that will give arch support and the like.

I was thinking about insoles but I've heard that they are suppose to be bad for you

The Nike SBs look pretty cool and yes I do wear skinny jeans and clothes of that nature...so I think I might look into those..also if there is anything else that is very stylish yet comfortable also please let me know...
