    Looking for a workout/lifting partner in San Diego

    Hey fellas,

    In addition to improving my game, I'm also getting back in the gym and shooting to get the best body of my life in 2009. I'm not at all new to the gym and do cardio on the side such as swimming and biking (not that crazy about running but since I live at the beach I'll do it there sometimes). Over the holidays I have eaten like shit and that just motivates me all that much more to be hardcore in 2009. Once I get on track with something, nothing can sway my focus (an example of this is I was hardcore vegetarian for over a decade). So if you're in San Diego, know what the hell you're doing in the gym, and miss having a friend/spotter get in touch. I'll give you a rundown on me and basically what I'm looking to get out of working out with someone.

    Biggest thing for me is I need a spotter...especially on chest night. I worked out with a good friend of mine for almost 2 years and never progressed so much in the gym on my own as I did when I constantly had someone there to push me and spot my sets. I'm a bit over 6ft tall and currently wavering around 200lbs (maybe even 210lbs after the holidays) but I should probably be more around 185lbs. I follow the principle of completely throwing my workout away after about 4-6 weeks and do a completely new one. What I'll be doing is in 2009 is based on an Ironman DVD called Critical Mass POF. I think you can pick this up off Ebay or Amazon. I'm not a user of steroids or supplements and don't expect, nor would want to, get as big as these muscleheads in the DVD. The workout kicks total ass though. And I'll be doing it for the next 4-6 weeks. Don't worry if you've never seen the video. I can show you all the stuff (and hopefully aren't a newb to the gym anyways).

    Right now I'm probably benching 65lbs-70lbs dumbbells. My peak was 90lbs but I had to have a serious spot and could only get about 5 reps (and that was a couple years ago). And like I said, chest is the most important night that I could use a spotter.

    I go to 24 hour fitness and can go to all the locations (although I prefer the places with the biggest selection of free weights). I'm not a morning person and will probably be working out at night (anytime after work is fine). As far as my interests go, I'm way into art, Japanese girls, art girls, bikes, living at the beach, and traveling (just listing some stuff to give you an idea if we have anything in common).

    So if you're getting back into shape or just want a lifting partner in SD get in touch. It would be sweet to lift w/ someone in the community since we could be productive in the gym as well as in our game as well.
